As soon as you're expecting a baby, you'll start thinking about decorating a nursery. Besides practical items, there are also plenty of accessories and decorative items to personalize the room.

Determining the color theme
You often start by choosing a color scheme and/or theme. Pastel colors like soft blue, light pink, mint green, or neutral shades like gray and white are popular for nurseries. If you plan to use a theme, such as animals, fairy tales, stars, or a specific color, you can reflect this in the room's decor.

Baby and children's room furniture
Then it's time to choose the furniture. Invest in a sturdy crib or crib. Make sure the crib meets safety standards and has a comfortable mattress. A changing table with a changing mat provides a convenient place for changing diapers and storing baby clothes and supplies. Create ample storage space for clothes, diapers, and other baby essentials. Drawers, baskets, and shelves can help organize items. We recommend a comfortable chair or rocking chair in the room for nighttime feedings and cuddles. Add pillows and a soft blanket for extra comfort.

Safety first
Make sure the room is safe for the child's age. Avoid sharp edges, use safe paint, and securely attach furniture and decorations to the wall to prevent them from tipping over or falling.

Functional baby and children's room decoration
There are several functional decorative items available for the room, such as soft flooring, such as a soft rug or a play mat. This creates a comfortable and safe play area for the baby.
A nightlight or a light/warming toy helps provide a soft glow during nighttime feedings and can also serve as a soothing light for the baby. Hang a colorful (musical) mobile above the crib. A mobile with soft sounds or spinning figures can be calming for the baby.

Other baby and children's room decoration
Besides functional decor items, you can further decorate the nursery with wallpaper, posters, animal heads and pendants, mirrors, wall art, and storage baskets and boxes. Place soft pillows and blankets on the bed or in a reading nook. Choose fabrics with different textures and patterns for visual interest.

Your child's growing older and the room changing
As your child grows older, you can replace the crib with a toddler bed or toddler bed. A toddler bed is a transitional bed specifically designed for toddlers transitioning from a crib to a larger bed.
The dresser can be replaced with a cabinet or a desk. Your toddler will also become interested in other colors and themes. With a few small changes to the decor, the room can suddenly look completely different.
